Who Should attend?

Suitable for GDC registered dentists with little or no previous experience of implantology.

What does the course cover?

  • • The background and planning of implant surgery, including bone biology and implant design 4 Surgical theory and practical use of the implant kit.
  •  Suturing and post-operative care using pig heads.
  • • Perfect placement techniques and treatment planning skills including prosthetic components using mandibles.
  • • Live surgeries where you can learn bone augmentation techniques and place implants on patients.

You will receive comprehensive course notes, and following completion we can offer on-going advice and mentoring to support you as you develop your implant skills.

Course Aims

Our interactive course aims to provide participants with the basic knowledge and understanding required to carry out a dental implant procedure.

Course Outcome

By the end of the course participants should have a basic knowledge and understanding of dental implantology and will have placed a dental implant in a patient under supervision.

Course Aims

We aim for you to treat a variety of cases from diagnosis through to placement and Restoration – as well as augment bone. You will also plan and treat a variety of cases using the Implant Pilot guided surgery system.

Course Outcome

This practical course aims to provide delegates with the skills required to place dental implants, gaining clinical skills, core competencies and confidence.

By the end of the course participants should also be able to select suitable cases where guided surgery would be of benefit and be able to plan and carry out guided surgery using the Implant Pilot system on simple cases.
